The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recently announced that it will soon stop producing paper nautical charts. The charts will be available electronically, and NOAA will offer an on-demand printing service. The Federal Aviation Administration ended direct sales of aeronautical charts on Oct. 1, though they can still be obtained from authorized dealers. AVweb (10/26)
