07 Jan VASI Welcomes 1st “Lifetimer”
The VASI board wishes to recognize Mr. Martin Zachrich as the first VASI Lifetime member. Mr. Zachrich submitted his dues check for $200, becoming the first person in the VASI’s 23 year history to become a life member.
The VASI board voted unanimously to create the new membership at last year’s mid-year board meeting, allowing members to “pay it forward” for the betterment of Venice general aviation. It’s a demonstration of a VASI member’s personal commitment to our ongoing mission of promoting safe, sustainable, community friendly aviation at the Venice Municipal Airport.
Proceeds from lifetime memberships fund numerous VASI initiatives, including our Airport Open Houses (upcoming February 8), Collings Foundation Warbirds Tours (January 24), BBQ events for the public (January 11), the Christmas Parades, Wings programs, outreach to community and civic organizations, engagement in council meetings and workshops and the relentless pursuit of every opportunity to promote the value of Venice Municipal to the public.
The VASI board offers a heartfelt thanks to Mr. Zachrich for his generous renewal. To become a lifetime member, visit our About VASI page and download your application, or CLICK HERE.
