30 Jul EPA Releases Response
The following statement from the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) was recently made available for distribution and included links to the EPA’s response to the FOE 2006 petition on lead emissions from general aviation aircraft piston engines.
The EPA has issued a response to the Friends of the Earth (FOE) 2006 petition that the agency issue an Endangerment Finding under the Clean Air Act in regards to lead emissions from general aviation aircraft. In the response the agency indicates that it has significant actions underway to develop such an endangerment finding but that it does not believe the agency will be prepared to issues such a finding until mid to late 2015 when data from air modeling currently underway has been made available and analyzed. The links below point to a fact sheet on the EPA’s response as well as the response itself.
