17 Sep Venice AWOS
The AWOS was recently struck by lightning and has been out of service. An airfield electrical contractor repaired several transformers last week, but unfortunately that only helped to discover that several sensors and circuit boards on the AWOS were also damaged. A technician is expected on-site later this week with replacement components in hand to try and restore service.
